Hope Harbor is a Christ centered Non-profit 501c3 organization of volunteers that have the heart and the desire to help young ladies restructure their lives.
This ministry began by God's people taking a faithful step to meet the needs of many young ladies to be free from the destructive forces of drugs and other addictive dependencies. Hope Harbor has been in operation for over 5 years. Dee and Stan Clark have personally seen young ladies overcome addition, abandonment, abuse, depression, sickness, tragedies and loss of loved ones.
We have discovered that there are a lot of ladies in surrounding counties that are burdened with life and seeking a second chance. For whatever reason, many have become easy prey to the various escapes such as drugs and alcohol. They found out too late that it was only a trap from which few escape. These young ladies must have a willing heart to come and participate fully in the program. Program fees are nominal; however, no young lady is refused admittance based solely on inability to pay. The ladies come voluntarily because they have a strong desire to change their lives. These are the ladies Hope Harbor is designed to help.
The ministry has placed 42 young ladies in Christian recovery programs across the state in the past 2 years. When a girl comes to Hope Harbor she encounters unconditional love, hope for a better life and God's merciful kindness.
With the help of volunteers, various services are offered:
Holding weekly services with men and women at the Troup and Harris County Jails.
Individual counsel the afflicted and oppressed.
Serve as advocates for inmates with the judicial system.
Place men and women in faith-based recovery programs across the Southeast.
Coordinate the Troup County After Care Program to provide assistance with inmates transitioning back into society
Teaching a 12 Step Christian Recovery Program at the LaGrange First Methodist Church and Kings Pasture Community Church.
